Thank you for considering the Townsville Golf Club for your membership.
Whether you are considering joining as a full or social member, the Townsville Golf Club has something for everyone. From the seasoned golfer on a low handicap (try the championship Blue Course), to those who like a day out with friends, The Townsville Golf Club is one of the most pleasant courses in North Queensland.
Currently the course has a 27 hole layout, designed by Ross Watson, around the banks of the Ross River. There are three different course combinations, the yellow (holes 1 - 9, 10 - 18); Blue (holes 10 - 18, 19 - 27) and Red (holes 19-27, 1 - 9). Each course has its own challenges with water hazards coming into play on the blue and the red. Holes 1-10 are most affected by wind.
There are two practice areas for use during daylight hours.
Golf competitions are played every day of the week except Monday.
The course is relatively flat with wide and fully reticulated fairways, very large undulating greens, hundred year old rain trees lining many of the fairways, and seasonal blooming, colourful trees. The course obtains its water from a sewerage treatment plant located on the grounds.

Membership Categories and Playing Rights - 2010/2011
The Townsville Golf Club's financial year runs from 1 October to 30 September and membership fees are billed annually. If you join mid-term, you will pay a pro-rata rate that will reflect the amount of time left in the year and thereafter you will be on a normal billing cycle.
All fees listed are INCLUSIVE of affiliation fees, union fees and GST.
Full Member (male, female) include Diamond, Spouse, Life & Senior Members.
Full golf course access, full playing rights, except that Males may not play in the Wednesday ladies competition and likewise for the ladies in the Thursday Club.

Members may pay their annual membership fees in full by 30 September each year or, using the direct debit payment scheme, pay in instalments of half yearly or monthly. A 7.5% fee applies to members taking the instalment option which covers bank charges, administration costs and additional interest paid by the club.

To be eligible, you must be a full member who shall have attained the age of 60 years and who shall have had 15 years continuous membership (excluding any period of leave of absence) immediately prior to attaining the age of 60.
Ruby Member: 6 Day Sunday - Friday (male, female)
Full golf course access, competition and social in accordance with the following conditions:
- On Sundays to Fridays, males may play on all occasions except during the ladies' competition on Wednesday afternoon.
- On Sundays to Fridays, females may play on all occasions except during the men's competition on Thursday afternoon.
- This category does not have playing rights for Saturday.
- This category of membership shall not be entitled to hold office or otherwise take part in the management of the Association.

Emerald Member - Monday to Friday (male, female)
Full golf course access, competition and social in accordance with the following conditions:
- On Mondays to Fridays, males may play on all occasions except during the ladies' competition on Wednesday afternoon.
- On Mondays to Fridays, females may play on all occasions except during the men's competition on Thursday afternoon.
- This category of membership shall not be entitled to hold office or otherwise take part in the management of the Association.

- Entitled to play on one of the days through Monday - Friday.
- This category of membership does not have playing rights to play on Weekends.
- On Mondays to Fridays, females may play on all occasion except during the men's competion on Thursday afternoon.
- This category of membership shall not be entitled to vote, nor hold office or otherwise take part in the management of the Association.

Social Membership
