Welcome to the Townsville Golf Club Pro Shop. Terry Price, Julian Sinardi and their team of PGA professionals pride themselves on creating an enjoyable golfing experience for members, visitors and guests.

The Pro Shop is a modern and professional golf retail centre operating in tandem with Drummond Golf Townsville for the benefit of golfers of all standards. Services include golf bookings, motorised cart hire, corporate golf days, golf equipment hire, tuition, clothing, accessories, prompt club repairs and refreshments.

Head Professional – Terry Price

Touring Professional Terry Price is an AAA rated coach and is available for lessons by appointment throughout the year at Townsville. Terry has been instrumental in devising some of our coaching programs and is regularly in Townsville to check on the progress of his clients and promote the game of golf.

Terry is currently working with a number of tour players including recently crowned West Australian PGA champion David Bransdon. If you would like to book a lesson and learn from his experience, contact the pro shop for available dates and times.

Julian has been involved with the club for over 10 years and has recently joined the ranks of the PGA. Julian specialises in clinics and corporate golf days. If you’re thinking of having a great day out at the club then call or come and see Julian for a friendly chat.

Steven Oliver is a "AAA" rated Coach and is available for lessons 7 days a week.

What is custom fitting?

Dynamic custom fitting is the establishment of the specifications of a club or a set of clubs for an individual, while that person is actually hitting golf balls. Club fitting requires the observation of a number of factors including: Shaft length, flex, torque, kick point, weight, loft and lie angle, grip thickness and set composition.

Why have your golf clubs custom fitted?

Custom fitted clubs are of maximum benefit to golfers who have a consistent swing. It doesn’t need to be consistently good, just consistent. With every fit we ask a number of questions, and record a number of measurements, to develop a profile of the individual swing characteristics.

This helps us to ensure that we establish not only the correct specifications for each club, but also that the correct clubs are selected to complete your set.

Our staff has been fitting clubs for a combined 100 years and in that time we have fitted clubs for hundreds of people. Of those hundreds of people and very few have been "standard”. That is why we recommend getting fitted for your next set.
